In 2014, in partnership with the publisher Condé Nast, Promemoria created the Vogue Italy digital archive to celebrate the magazine’s 50th anniversary.
For the project, Promemoria organized a fund-raising campaign targeted at collectors and specialist websites to source missing issues and collect material for the archive. To digitize and catalogue the 604 issues (plus 112 supplements) published from 1964 to today, 25 professionals worked full-time for 18 months, producing over 250,000 pages and 3 million descriptive tags. Today, all the digitized material can be accessed through the digital archive thanks to a rapid and intuitive search engine featuring customized filters (colour, photograph, celebrity, garment, material, etc.).
