In 2014, Promemoria designed and produced the digital archive of the historic Biella wool mill, while in 2017 it designed and managed the staging of the exhibition 1663 Fabric Tales.
Based on archival software integrating for the first time ever a specific data sheet for the description of textile goods, the archive brings together two different environments: one dedicated to the classification and description of fabric samples, and another dedicated to the corporate collection, featuring the deeds of incorporation, historical photos, special projects, press reviews, events, and more. When Vitale Barberis Canonico decided to exhibit at Pitti Immagine Uomo No. 92 in 2017, it chose Promemoria to design and organize the staging of its exhibition. 1663 Fabric Tales was held in the marvellous setting of the historic Gunpowder Magazine of the Fortezza da Basso. Featuring six mobile stations, the exhibition opened the doors to visitors to the physical and digital archive of Vitale Barberis Canonico, before leading them to the “Experience” section, to discover the wool mill’s unique collection of 21 micron wool fabrics, showcased in two different events: “Designer Corner” and “Fabric Testing”.
